The Claylight chandelier is site-specific element designed and constructed in collaboration with ceramic artist Sharan Elran. Anchored by a bent channel, it supports twelve hanging ceramic egg enclosures that musically play with the different levels. The Clay enclosures create both a direct utility light on the area below and a patterned drawing on the surrounding walls. Originally designed for a double story space, yet could be adjusted for specific spatial requirements.
Materials – clay elements by ceramic artist Sharan Elran, xenon bulbs, stainless steel, blackened nickel plated brass and steel, white braided cord.
All of the electrical parts are UL listed.

Artists Inspirational Message:
In our light construction we incorporate ready-made objects, lighting components and constructed elements. The lamps are fitted and assembled by hand in our studio.
