This is an original painting. Painted in 2009, it is signed and dated on the back, and painted on all sides. It is ready to hang, with or without a frame. The medium is repurposed acrylic latex paint on canvas. Repurposed acrylic latex is house paint that would otherwise go to waste, and that I rescue from reject shelves before it is sent to landfills.
Rust Never Sleeps is one of my pulled paintings, using a monochromatic upper layer of rust-colored paint. Paint is applied onto a textured canvas in layers, and pulled across the piece using a squeegee. The underlayers of paint peek through the final top layer, giving it depth and intrigue.
