This is an original diptych painting. Painted in 2008, It is signed and dated on the back, and painted on all sides. It’s ready to hang, with or without a frame. The medium is repurposed acrylic latex paint on canvas. Repurposed acrylic latex is house paint that would otherwise go to waste, and that I rescue from reject shelves before it is sent to landfills.
Cosmos is what I imagine the universe looks like, and what I sometimes see in the night sky through the glare of the city lights. It is a visual representation of expansion and growth. The blue-greens are contrasted against a very deep, dark burgundy, in a galactic swirl of colors.
