The Steamlight™ lamps series (Patent pending) is a family of adjustable light fixtures constructed from a ready-made stainless Steel steamer that is used as a device to direct and reflect light. Creating both a light pattern and a task light, these lamps are both atmospheric and useful.
- The lamp head operates as an iris, that allows for enlarging or reducing the central light beam.
- The bulb is located in an off-center position, allowing for unique aiming options.
- The leaves are both reflective and perforated, creating distinct light patterns.
- The Steamlight™ uses a low voltage xenon bulb that is twice as efficient in its energy use than a regular incandescent bulb and has a longer life span of 10,000 hours.(20W Xenon is equivalent to a 40W regular incandescent light output)
- Has a touch dimmer knob on its base for three levels of light.
Originally intended to be a small desk lamp, the micro lamp became a lamp that could fit anywhere. It was named ‘Micro Lamp’ due to it’s resemblance to an 1920’s microphone.
The Micro lamp’s head rotation allows the central light beam to be aimed almost anywhere. Ideal as a bedside lamp, allowing you to read a book while keeping your partner in relative darkness. It can fit any room that requires intimate lighting and a flexible task light.

Artists Inspirational Message:
We, Yael Erel and Avner Ben Natan, are a collaborating couple. We work together, as an architect and a lighting designer, to explore light through the construction of unique designer lamps, which adjust through time and draw light and texture in space. Coming from two different disciplines we explore this field together with different sensibilities and skills. In our light construction we incorporate energy efficient light bulbs and eco friendly materials - ready-made objects, clay and porcelain as well as recyclable hammered metal and lighting components. The lamps are fitted and assembled by hand in our studio. We collaborate with Ceramic artist Sharan Elran in design, development and construction of our ceramic and porcelain fixtures. One of our goals is to create energy efficient fixtures, while maintaining our focus on their atmospheric and spatial performance.
