Wenge is a special wood and many say it has mystical powers. It is primarily found in Africa in Cameroon, Gaboon, and Zaire. The wood used in this table is hand carried from only dead wood in Africa. Only wood which has fallen to the ground naturally is used for these tables. Steel is upcycled from sheet metal yards.

Leonardo Da Vinci said, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." Jack Kerouac said, "One day, I will find the right words, and they will be simple." I love texture and touch. My paintings and objects reflect my infatuation with these two characteristics. From the materials I select, to the way I craft each piece; these two remain my focus. I prefer to work with organic pigments, plasters, glazes, and substrate. When the origins of these materials are organic, the appearance of the paintings evokes the essential quality of nature. Embedded in the reference to nature is the obvious juxtaposition of the inherent force, beauty, serenity,and silence.
