Carlos Salgado decided to set up his studio in Seville, Spain. He has developed a unique style wherein the colours and shapes of his native Latin America are distinctly recognizable fused together with the new trends of international contemporary art with eco friendly materials. Salgado was invited by Amnesty International to exhibit in France in May 2004 as part of their campaign against issues such as violations of human rights, illegal immigration and violence against women around the World. In January 2005 he completed a series of paintings entitled Multiculturalism, and working with the Mexican, Canadian and French Embassies travelled to Thailand to exhibit his project. Salgado’s paintings have illustrated several publications, including books and CD covers. His list of international private and public collectors include Mexico, Canada, U.S.A., Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Holland, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and Thailand.
