In 201 AD, the Chinese invented paper, a marvelous material with a complex character. For thousands of years we used paper to write, paint and communicate our thoughts, dreams and desires. Paper cutting is a unique art form, Chinese women use this graceful and intricate media to record the joy and surprises of their lives and decorate their homes. Yu Jordy Fu has developed this ancient technique to create expressive and elaborate forms which break free from the two dimensional realm to a dreamlike three-dimensional landscape. The intricate paper cutouts are inspired by London, the movement, sound, sight, people and events.

Yu Jordy Fu had her first solo exhibition at Beijing Capital Museum at age of six, she graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a first-class degree in Spatial Design, and then received a Master of Arts in Architecture and Interiors from the prestigious Royal College of Art. Jordy has exhibited at some of the most influential exhibitions in the world of art and design, such as the Venice Biennial, Milan International Furniture Fair, 100% Design London. She is the commission artist for Royal Festival Hall London and commission designer at Design Museum London. Jordy’s works have been published into six design books and over fourty high-end design and architecture magazines in 19 countries. In 2010, Jordy is exhibited at the London Fashion week, the British Design Awards then Hong Kong Arts Center.
