Pedestal in carved and painted poplar with a curly maple top that features intense, highly figured and satiny grain with a hand rubbed varnish finish. The entire surface of the carving has a dynamic surface texture of controlled, hand carved tool marks. This piece looks great in an entryway or foyer, for displaying a unique vase, sculpture, a special plant or flower arrangements.

His work has been exhibited widely in galleries and museums throughout the United States, including the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, the Delaware Art Museum, and the Wharton Esherick Museum. His work is in public and private collections throughout the United States, and in private residences in Canada and England.
