The Victor Clothing Mural is one of Downtown's most prominent and uses the dancing Anthony Quinn as "The Pope of Broadway." Victor Clothing opened in 1920, and during its heyday in the '40s and '50s stocked over 8,000 men's suits and dressed a number of Hollywood's A-list stars. The mural was commissioned by the building owners in 1985. It is such an icon to L.A. and the Spanish speaking community because it's the largest mural of a Latino person - Antonio Rudolfo Oaxaca otherwise known as Anthony Quinn. Here the building is visualized through from the restored Douglas building, which is around the corner. There are plans are to turn the Victor Clothing Building into affordable lofts and mix-use properties.Matted and Framed.

My current project – City Recycled, looks at the rejuvenation of historic downtown Los Angeles, an area known as the Historic Core. Often photography looks at urban decay focusing on the demise of these grand buildings. I want to look at these areas in a positive light as they are being refurbished, creating exciting new structures for mixed use. Looking at the future, through the past
